A Changwon case? Talk to us right outside the courthouse gate

From the main gate, walk straight toward Starbucks Changwon Sapa. The Beopjo Building in Sapa-dong is a 2-minute walk, and we are on the 6th floor. On a hearing or mediation day you can drop off documents and discuss the next step on your way to or from the court, and we advise on cases from Changwon, Masan, Jinhae and Gimhae at this office.

Yes. Civil and criminal cases from Masanhappo-gu and Masanhoewon-gu are tried at the Changwon District Court, Masan Branch, but there is no court-based restriction on which lawyer you appoint, and the attorney goes to the Masan Branch for each court date. Consultation and document preparation take place at the Changwon Office; just tell us the court named on the complaint or indictment.

Yes. If the suspect or a family member requests it, the police must allow defense counsel to take part in the interrogation unless there is a justifiable reason not to (Criminal Procedure Act, Article 243-2), so an attorney accompanies you to questioning at any police station in Changwon, Masan, Jinhae or Gimhae. If the appearance date is close, we first adjust the schedule by phone and then organize the facts before questioning.

As a rule you file with the Changwon District Court main court for your address, but a debtor with an address or workplace in Gyeongsangnam-do may also file with the Busan Bankruptcy Court (Debtor Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Act, Article 3(1) and (11)).
